2018 Kid Food Nation, Boys and Girls Club of Canada

I don’t know how it happens so often, but we get to work with the best clients! In this case, we were given the opportunity to work with the Boys and Girls Club of Canada to help them produce Kid Food Nation. Kid Food Nation is presented by PC Children’s Charity in partnership with the Boys and Girls Club of Canada, the Government of Canada and YTV. This event is produced in collaboration with Dietitions of Canada. Kid Food Nation is a national contest that they run where kids get to submit their healthy recipes. Of the hundreds of submissions, the 26 winning kids and their families get flown to Ottawa where they get to spend three days living in Ottawa’s very own castle (a.k.a the Chateau Laurier).

We had the opportunity to work with some exceptional suppliers for this event. The decor that wow’d everyone who walked through the door was done by the very talented team at Avant-Garde Designs. The entertainment was provided by some of our favorite people – Orbital Talent provided us with our chef themed acrobatic entertainers as well as the caricature artists who created drawings for each of the kids. The music during the reception was provided by the incredibly talented, Kimberly Dunn, who played and sang a range of kid friendly music on the gorgeous mini-grand piano at the Chateau Laurier.
