Who would have thought that an outdoor event in June would be freezing cold. Despite the cold weather, the day was wonderful. Over 200 tickets sold, over 30 health and yoga focused vendors and over 15 classes to attend.
The Surya Yoga Festival is a passion project between the owner of ITM Events, Julia, and her friend and fellow business owner, OmShanti from Bodhi Tree Yoga. Following a mental breakdown in 2019, Julia started attending yoga classes regularly and fell in love with what yoga offered her body and mind. Together, Julia and OmShanti knew that they needed to bring these teachings to life in the outdoors for a full day of classes and workshops
This was the second year of the festival and in the second year they were able to more than double attendance and more than triple the number of vendors in attendance.
The day is truly a gift to the community of North Grenville and its residents and visitors.
We were able to add some new features in 2022 that we are very proud of.
We added a meditation tent that was a huge success. Our sponsor, Kemptville Stress Relief Centre, used the meditation tent to host a workshop on anxiety. The tent was overflowing with attendees and the reviews of the session were exceptional.
We also added a fun Instagram-able moment. Our friend and incredible artist, Luce Ends, helped us with creating an activation that allowed attendees to be reminded of their own beauty.
