I should have been asleep hours ago but here I am. Not quite totally awake but awake non the less. I am bored with Facebook and while scrolling through Pinterest I thought perhaps my time would be better spent blogging because I haven’t done it in so long.
But what to blog about. I thought about just doing a personal post about how I am feeling today…which by the way is friggin fantastic…for reasons I will explain another day, when I am allowed. Then as I scrolled through the images I saw an extreme dinner party setting I would love to do which filled my head and stirred up the butterflies in my stomach with thoughts of the party I am most excited to work on this year. So I decided I am going to tell you a little about it.
Believe it or not my oldest daughter will be turning 16 in a year’s time. Her sweet 16! When I turned 16 I had my Sweet 16 on the 16th because my birthday is July 16. My mom said your birthday that matches your birthday is the most important one, the one to truly be celebrated. For my party my mom rented a hall and we had music and dancing and food I think. Can’t remember that far back…oh boy. 
Well my girls have both had their special birthdays. For my youngest daughter’s special birthday she turned 8 on the 8th and she had her own personal carnival on our front lawn. We had a carnival company come in and load us with bouncy things, carnival treats and every kid in her class was invited. It was truly pretty amazing.
Mekayla just turned 15. Her birthday is January 12th. We started discussing this a bit last year and decided her sweet 16 should be a new year’s eve party. Which is why I need to get started now because I am going to need to book a venue.
I have been on Pinterest pinning images for my inspiration pieces. And yes of course including her in the ideas, sometimes. Wink and a little giggle. 
I have found the perfect cake already. And I found my main decor inspiration in a movie. Believe it or not in a  cartoon. The only problem is I am not sure how I am going to make it happen. It is going to take a bit of research, planning and possibly some moulah, aka money.
I don’t want to share all my ideas with you yet, in fact my plan is to make these a series for you to follow throughout the year. I will talk to you about my ideas, the challenges I am facing and then of course the outcome. 
But tonight I will share with you my main decor inspiration. I would like to get my hands on a better image, in fact I would like to actually stop the movie at a particular point and get a snapshot of the exact moment that my stomach does flips because it is the perfect, and I mean perfect, decor inspiration for Mekayla.
Well here it is. No more detail then that, just let me know if you can figure out what part of the photo is my inspiration and once you figure it out let me know what you think of it and where you think I might be able to get what I need or how you think I can make it happen.
