The Day Has Come!

The Day Has Come!

Congrats! You made it. Today is your wedding day. Now hopefully you weren’t up late last night folding programs and re-doing your nails cause the estetician did a bad job. ( Of course, that wasn’t what we were doing the night before my wedding 😉 ) I actually had a last minute crisis with my programs. As we were folding them the night before we realized that they were printed wrong and unfoldable!!! Of course the place where we got them done was closed. My sister and wonderful friend and musician that flew over from London came to the rescue and had it sorted out first thing in the morning. (ps. staples are great at printing and folding your programs)

Ideally you have hired a “Day of, Wedding Coordinator” if you had, then she would be the one rushing to staples to sort out these last minute issues and your bridal party can focus on supporting you and getting ready. A Day of, Wedding Coordinator, is an essential part of a smooth wedding day. She makes a world of difference. If I was to recommend one things in terms of hiring help with a wedding it would be to definitely, if nothing else, hiring a Day of, Wedding Coordinator. She’ll meet with you ahead of time and make your day run seamlessly. Who knows, if you do hire an ITM Wedding Coordinator, we just might meet 🙂

Being a Day of, Wedding Coordinator, is one of my favorite jobs in my work at ITM. I love seeing a happy stress-free bride 🙂

Enjoy today. Have a good big breakfast, as I doubt you’ll be having lunch, nerves and time tend to get in the way. Make sure your MOH has some snacks for you. The whole day can be very overwhelming. Everyone is looking at you, Everyone!! One trick that I used to try to avoid all eyes on me was to have ridiculously cute ring bearers. My nephews, 2.5 yr old, and 1 yr, stole the show in their wee kilts!! Boy, was I relieved. But seriously, enjoy your day. Stop and take many moments throughout the day to enjoy the company of all your nearest and dearest. Steal a few private moments with your hubby. Oh, and turn your phone off all day!!!!!!! Anyone you’d want to be in contact with will be there in person, so there is no reason to have it on. Other people will be taking pics, so keep those selfies for another day. The day goes by so fast, and I know everyone says that but it really is true.

Congrats on your nuptuals, enjoy your day, take a breath, and let your wedding coordinator do her job. 🙂

Cheers to you and all your wedded bliss 🙂

Colleen
