At 10:00am it was decided that because it was such a beautiful day that we would ask my mother-in-law if we could move Thanksgiving dinner to our house so that we could eat outside.
Have you ever considered making a traditional family meal into something a little less ordinary?
We did two simple things to make this Thanksgiving a little less ordinary. We moved our dinner outside and we did up the table with gorgeous linens and a little decor. Something that simple has made this a Thanksgiving we will never forget.
So far this year has been a difficult one but not without many wonderful moments I can’t help but be thankful for. I am forever thankful for my two beautiful girls and my adoring husband. I am thankful for a job that keeps a roof over our heads and food on our table. I am thankful for my new career that continues to challenge me and reward me all in the same day, in the same moment. I am thankful for my family and all of my supportive friends who continue to push me forward when the world tries to hold me down. And lastly, thank you to those in heaven who are watching over me.

I love creating little surprises for my girls, making moments a little more than just giving her a gift. Last night when my daughter went to bed I set up this banner at the bottom of the stairs. I had my husband bring in this super cute little table from our inventory shed so I could put the cute little gift box on it. This morning I lied here, like Christmas morning when my girls were little, waiting for her to get up and see it. Living your moment is about celebrating the little things in big ways and big things in little ways and the other way around too. Celebrating moments is what makes life so grand.
