It’s 4:20am and I am awake. Not on purpose but I am up. I thought I should maybe do a bit of research into the experts I’ll be learning from today. So let’s see who we’ve got…
Beyond the Box – So during breakfast we’ll be “colouring outside the lines” with Beyond the Box, a Toronto based company that specializes in team building. “Beyond the Box helps change the way people and organizations thinkand how they approach obstacles and problems. Since 1998, we’ve been offering our arts-based workshops and training programs to some of Canada’s foremost companies as well as government organizations…” It sounds like they will be doing two things this morning, one is getting us to know each other better and to help us think outside the box when we are faced with a problem during our event planning. Sounds good to me, I love thinking outside the box when faced with a problem. Don’t love the idea of meeting new people, only because it intimidates me, but seeing as I do it to other people all the time guess I should try it for myself.
The Mint Agency – “Welcome to The Mint Agency, North America’s premier, full-service production and design agency, where we help bring your goals to life and achieve unparalleled success. Corporate events, experiential, online and event marketing, public relations and communications—we’ve got you covered.” Well, after breakfast we will be talking with Jordan Fogle from The Mint Agency. They do everything; design, marketing, websites, event planning… One of my favorite things on their website has to be the ice pool table. Take a minute and look through their Gallery, it won’t be time wasted. Looking forward to what he has to say.
POP Kollaborative – We’ll be talking with the owner, Ken Kristoffersen. I love their “website” and the way they have so much information but really no information. Good and bad, you are forced to call them to get more information or if you are one of those people who like to read more about a person/company before you meet them you may just give up and not bother. I am intrigued and think I would be the type to call. What would you do?
Ok, we’ll talk about one more but then I need to go back to sleep for a bit before my busy day.
Yellow House Events – An event marketing and planning company. I love what the owner said about her company. Take a minute and read it. It is exactly the same vision I have for In the Moment. I want to not only create amazing events for our clients but I want to offer a work place that staff love working for. I want to be able to provide individuals with an opportunity to do something they love so that every morning they are excited to come to work and make great things happen. I am looking foward to meeting Grail.
Well, I need a bit more sleep. Less than an hour I guess because it’s now ten after 5 and I should be getting up around 6 so that I can get my butt to the conference on time to sign in and get a seat for breakfast and the first presentation.
Have a fantastic day everyone!
