My Why – Part 2, your why must be bigger than yourself

Yesterday I talked about my why and how what I am doing makes my life better. Today it’s all about my team and how I hope that I have created make for a damn great why for them too.

Before I even knew why I was creating this company for myself, I knew exactly the type of work environment I wanted to create for my team. I wanted to create an environment where anyone who worked for me felt like they were not only part of the team but also that they were living their best life while working here. I want my team to be able to enjoy FREEDOM as well. Freedom to do what they love, freedom to bring new ideas to the table, freedom to balance their life with their work.

I strongly believe that if you treat your team like the grown adults that they are, and offer them freedom and respect, they will outperform any expectations you could force on them if you micromanaged their every move.

As long as the work gets done and my clients are happy then I don’t care where in the world my team is working from. Live life and love what you do!
