When I started this company my hope was that within the year I would quit my government job to do this full time. Three years later I am still working my government job. I have reduced it to only a few days a week and only about 5 hours a day but I still work every other waking hour on ITM.
I hate to show weakness but I am going to share with you that I am exhausted.
Until last week I worked 5 contracts. I balanced my time between all of them as required. And yes, plus created ITM from scratch.
Last week one of those contracts ended. It ended because I got out bid. I’m not going to lie, I am a little disappointed because I truly enjoy that contract. I love the files I read, I really enjoy the people I work with. But honestly, I was hugely relieved when it wasn’t renewed.
I am a huge believer in fate. At the same time as my contract was not renewed I was advised that the festival I work on received funding to pay me.
This week was my first week of my new life. One less government contract and getting paid for something I love means one more day staying in Kemptville working on the company that gives me butterflies, that makes my days fly by, that makes me feel like I have done something amazing.
My goal for next week is add, to my incredible new life, a work out routine into my two days in Kemptville. Not sure what that’s going to be just yet. I am excited to get my health back to its prime all while working the job I love.
