Things here at In the Moment just keep getting better. We have booked two new events and we are so excited!
BUT…I am feeling disorganized and frustrated.  My office is a mess, my “party room” is a mess…grrr!!!  Time to get organized.  I am trying to think of a way to organize our events that won’t cost me any money. I am visual and need to have everything written out in front of me so I can see everything we have happening.  I think I know what I need but it is going to cost me a small fortune to do so I need to come up with something less expensive. I wonder if I can get Trevor to put a bunch of nails in the wall for me…eee…don’t like the sound of that. Our house is still new looking and I hate putting holes in the wall but I think then I can buy a bunch of those large flip chart pads and I can have one for each event then we can write and scratch stuff out as required.
I also need to organize my party room and set up a spot for each event so that I can start to put aside items as I find them. Little things that I know will be helpful at an event.  I need a work space with big tables, boxes and places to label everything by event. Unfortunately I also have our family freezer in the room and our beer fridge and our water tank.  The room is unfinished so I feel so icky when I’m in there. I need more shelves, I need to have all my stock out where I can see it so I can plan events around what we have and not buy duplicates of stuff I forgot we have.
It is helping that our family is getting our life organized again. We have been in shambles all summer. The house has been a mess which is unusual for us.  We are all running in different directions, which isn’t unusual but it is feeling unusual for some reason. Anyway, we created a family chore calendar the other day and hopefully that will help.
Does anyone have any ideas on how to organize events up on my wall so I can see everything that needs to get done? How about a room full of stuff that needs to be layed out by event? Any thoughts?
