Feeling old and overwhelmed

Feeling old and overwhelmed
As promised I’ve been doing lots of reading on-line and struggling to put down my Think Big book (by Donald Trump). Donald’s book is keeping me motivated and feeling like I’m on the right track.  Reading on-line on the other hand is scaring me.  I’m feeling old.
There is all kinds of talk about social media and which ones I should be using, all kinds of funky software that will make my job easier, etc.  I am feeling so out of the loop.  I’m 36 and feeling like I’m a grandparent having my grandchildren telling me I need to buy an iPhone.
What happened to the days where I could just be good at what I do?  That isn’t enough anymore.  Now you need to be up on all the social media, latest cool websites and have a selection of software to choose from for your different events.  I’m so confused. 🙁
But, I’m not going to let it get me down.  I have Rachel coming on board, she is young and up on all the latest things and is eager to teach me what I need to know to keep up with the big guys…oh wait a minute…we’re not going to keep up with them, we’re going to surpass them!  heehee
Well, my plan tells me that if Rachel and I can do the very best we can over the next 6 months to a year, we should be in a position to bring on employee number 2 and perhaps instead of an event planner or decorator maybe we’ll need to look at someone who can look after all of our Facebook posts, get us running steady on Linkedln and all those other websites that will get us noticed.
