Last year I was introduced to the idea of leaving something behind at New Year’s instead of making resolutions I would only be disappointed in not keeping. I read through my post from last year this morning and I am so glad that I truly did leave behind everything I committed to doing.
So I have been putting some thought into what I am going to leave behind this year. And here is what I have decided.
I have decided to leave behind the unhealthy me…better choices, more time for me. More sleep, more relaxing, more walks, more time to get reacquainted with myself and more time to keep my house in order so that I feel more organized and in control.
I have also decided to leave behind accepting every event planning job that comes across my desk. Instead I will choose only those that excite me and show a clear benefit to ITM. I would rather put my energy into fewer events then being spread too thin through events that end up being a pain in my rear end.
And you know what, that’s it. Simple as that.
