I continue to be so proud of the work our team does. It has been important to me, since creating this company in my head, that my team be well rounded and able to provide several key services to our clientele. Tonight, and several times this summer, we have had crews out at weddings where our job was to set up and tear down decor or provide bar service and/or provide food service. Some of those things may seem far from event planning but in my mind the more time we spend at events and the more we get to see events from different angles the better we can do our job when we are asked to be the official event planner. Each individual on our team is passionate about their expertise and every team member has their own speciality. And most importantly everyone of them is passionate about events. Let’s use the wedding tonight as an example. We were hired to provide food service (not food making, the serving of the food prepared by the caterer). Leading the event I had our most experienced team member, Angie. If you read Angie’s bio, Angie has over 17 years experience in the events world. Angie is so passionate about what she does that she is the person who will walk around behind you changing the direction a knife is pointing because it is not perfect in the table setting. Angie is passionate about food and how that food gets presented and the service that is provided to get that food on your plate. Recently I sent our crew on a two day mixology class because it is critical that our staff be able to not only open a beer for a client but also prepare the best martini their lips have ever had the pleasure of meeting. I cannot stress how important it is to me that my team know as much as they can about every aspect of event planning and that our team be in a position to control the major aspects of those events – the planning, the decor and the in person contact. The team at ITM is passionate about events, all aspects and they understand how critical it is that the signature cocktail be the perfect shade of green because it matches the rest of the “Green Thumb” theme you’ve worked all year long on creating for your event. Details matter to us whether we planned your event from the start, only set up the decor or whether you’ve hired us to greet your guests as they arrive.
