Booking your Wedding Day of Director should be first priority once Engaged

You are engaged!  Now what?

You may not think that planning for your “day of coordinator” is your first priority when you get engaged, but for many couples that we meet, they contact us last, and have spent their budget and can’t afford to add our services.  So your first priority should be to contact a day of coordinator, get a quote, budget that into your spending plan, and then 6 weeks out you are set to start working with us.

Now what is a “day of coordinator”?  It has many names, we refer to our service as “Wedding Day Director”.  Please let us make it clear that we are not your bridesmaid, or errand girl.  We truly manage your wedding day.  We begin approx 6 weeks out of your wedding day, but communication can be on going throughout the planning that you are managing yourself once you have secured our service.  We will ensure that every vendor contract is exactly what you expect it to be, all t’s crossed and i’s dotted.  As we finalize all details with your wedding professional team, we will build a VERY detailed timeline of your wedding week and day, to ensure every itinerary item is included, along with contacts, and details.  Who is involved, what are they doing, how to be reach them, what are they providing/delivering/picking up, etc.

We will be onsite for your rehearsal, and begin your day with you, hair makeup, ceremony, photos, speeches, and leave you once formalities are complete.

We are not replaced by a venue coordinator, that person is represented by the venue only, and their first responsibility is to the venue, not you, they are not concerned with any dealings that take place outside of their property.

Our clients clearly believe this is the best money they have ever spent on their day, to know someone is taking care of every detail so they can take a deep breath and just smile and enjoy every memorable moment is everything.

Angela VanWingerden is a focused logistics dynamo with nearly 20 years of experience in the events industry. Since obtaining her BA of Commerce in Hospitality from the University of Guelph in 1998, she has built an impressive portfolio of weddings, corporate events and fundraisers for hundreds of satisfied clients. Angela enjoys the entire event planning process from chaos to order and back again. An avid trouble-shooter, Angela has her finger on the pulse of every event she manages. When on-site, she constantly monitors every element of the event to ensure client satisfaction. Angela works closely with staff and volunteers to ensure that they know what their duties are and she provides oversight at the event itself to ensure that all responsibilities and expectations are met. When she isn’t designing and coordinating awe-inspiring events, Angela loves spending time with her family.
