Apprentice Launch Night
Nights like tonight remind of why I love to do what I do. I drove home with a smile on my face and excitement in my heart. Tonight was the launch of ourKemptville Apprentice. We had full teams at the table, media in the seats and lots of great ideas bouncing around the room.
If you’ve ever been in the theater at the North Grenville Municipal Center you might be able to picture this…we had three tables at the front of the room each covered in a black tablecloth with the a sign designating each table for each of the charities. As everyone arrived they were greeted by Kristina, my newest event planner, then were sent to meet with Rachel where they checked in and got their name tags. Once everyone arrived we showed them a really great little video Rachel created for us to introduce our event. Codi Jeffreys, our Donald Trump, couldn’t be there tonight but we had a video of her introducing the event and Rachel added in all of our sponsors and the charities’ logos and had some great music and footage from around town.  After the video, Kristina, Rachel and I introduced ourselves and talked abit about our charities. We then started to draw the names to form the teams…the part everyone had been waiting for. The representatives from each of the charities stood at their tables and greeted their members as their names were called.  I can’t tell you for sure who is on the other teams (I’ll leave that for Kristina and Rachel to tell you) but on my team I have Chris Drozda from Keller Williams Real EstateRachela Brisindi from Stella and DotShelley Mitchell from To Be Continued Consignment Store and Catheren Fachnie, a North Grenville resident.
The teams broke into their discussions. Our team, Big Brothers Big Sisters, was the first one to announce their event date. We’ve locked in on February 24th. I am not quite ready to tell you the details but let’s just say you need to clear your calendar for that weekend…that’s right, the entire weekend…you might want to start looking for a babysitter too…for the weekend. 🙂
The Salvation Army was able to announce their date as well, they have booked the 25th of February. The Big Sky Ranch Team has not yet announced their date.
We will keep everyone up to date on everything we have planned.
