A Proud Mommy
As a parent you are always second guessing your parenting skills, you always catch yourself doing or saying something you know you should have done differently but every once in a while you get a moment that gives you that little pat on the back for a job well done.
Tonight we attended a fundraiser for a team of two firefighters who are going to run the Sears Great Canadian Run, a 100km run for childhood cancer, next weekend from Ottawa to Montebello. As we were leaving the restaurant we were talking with the two firefighters who are running and asked if there was anything else they needed for next weekend. Marty mentioned that he noticed in my pictures from last year’s run (I did the same run last year with a team of 5 from Toronto to Blue Mountain) that on our team van we had window decals. He asked if I could look into getting those.
As we left the restaurant Mekayla asked me if she could pay for the window decals for the team. On her own doing, she asked if she could use her own money to pay for the window decals for the team car. I am so proud of her. Mekayla has such a huge heart, especially when it comes to fundraisers for childhood cancer.
I am so proud of you pumpkin xoxo
