Not long after we launched Mountain Orchard Weddings we booked our first wedding with Dave and Darlene! The day was inspired by the couple’s desire for a small, intimate and casual day with their guests.
After 6 months of planning and 3 days of set up, the ITM team put together this intimate day.
The original plan for Dave and Darlene was to have their small ceremony in the tent followed by their cocktail hour and reception. After seeing the weather forecast for Saturday we suggested they think about moving the ceremony into the Orchard where their guests would be surrounded by the beautifully aged apple trees. These trees are not newly planted small trees, these trees are over 80 years old with beautiful natural arches. So obviously they decided they wanted to have their ceremony in the orchard, and on the fly we set up a beautiful outdoor site between the apple trees. We used a 30 ft. white sheer to drape through the gorgeous tree that outlined their alter. Dave and Darlene were welcomed with the sun shinning into their ceremony by the melody of the bag pipes and 50 of their closest friends and family. Following their ceremony the guests were greeted into the tent where cocktail hour began. Guests mingled in the apple orchard while the couple was taking their photos. Dinner followed in the tent.
It was a truly beautiful day. A day that let the couple enjoy their time with their family and friends and celebrate their love. Enjoy the pictures and let us know what you think.
