When I met Erinn on a blustery, icy typical February winter day at the farm, I sincerely hoped this girl had vision! This retired milk barn was going to make for a beautiful laid back family picnic wedding in September… but at this moment it was dark, cold and not very inspiring.
But as luck would have it, she could see past winter and how everything would be green, and sprawling and perfect for her wedding. Sometimes it takes that, a vision, and being able to walk through how and where elements of your day will happen.
We planned for an outdoor ceremony at the wood beam arch, the site the rotisserie would be setup for roast beef and roast turkey, how guests to sit out on the lawn with lunch, and lawn games for the children in attendance ( and the kids at heart).
After a site visit in May, along with their wedding party, and approved by the gang of children swinging and running and jumping and climbing, it had the stamp of approval and plans moved full steam ahead.
I loved the picnic details that Erinn envisioned for her wedding day, and the family and friends they had to make it come to life.
I loved that she stayed true to the vision since the first time we spoke, small, about family, incorporating the children, relaxed, and simple. Oh and Reese’s peanut butter cups….Marcel and her loved them! Favours and cake, done!
